COVER THAT TATOO!
In my ambition to expand my sport blog I am starting to learn slowly other sports by paving way to know about it through sports updates and latest happenings. In connection with this, I came across this sport update relating to baseball. Brett Myers, while the game is on, was instructed to cover up his tattoo in the left hand. Even Brett Myers did not know the reason why this has to happen. According to him, he had this tattoo for three years or more already and nothing like this has happened. Having this tattoo does not in any way affect the way he plays or that of his opponents.
This is just to conclude that even how old we are, we go back to being a child, lol.

MICHAEL BEASLEY ALLEGED DRUG USER
What is clear though is that Michael Beasley admitted being involved in the commission of this prohibitive act. Although there is admission from Michael Beasley, what remains intriguing is his actual commission of the violation. Despite that, he was fined $50,000 by the NBA. The good news is, Michael Beasley will not be suspended by the "Heat" management.
The lesson that should be remembered in this case, is to face what you have done mistakenly. Micheal Beasley may have committed something wrong, but he is man enough to accept his mistake and face the same.

WHO IS MARK MCGWIRE
So here is what I learned about Mark McGwire. McGwire is a well-known baseball player. He started his career as a player since July 20, 1984. However, his final game was last October 7, 2001. His name came back again today due to the fact that he is celebrating his 10th anniversary (then record-breaking) 62nd home run, which came of his (alleged) steroid-enhanced bat 10 years ago. By that time there were only two of them who were known heroes in their game, one is Mark McGwire himself while the other one is Sammy Sosa.
And that is so far what I learned about McGwire. As to other updates on the sport of baseball, I am not yet quite sure, lol. Someday I will do another article about this sport, lol.

KOBE BRYANT TO UNDERGO SURGERY?
Anyway, the headlines for sports today is about Kobe Bryant. Unknown to others, Kobe Bryant is injured. Wait! This is not a big injury though. But of course, big problems start from small ones. Kobe Bryant has been playing ever since February of this year with an injured right pinkie, that is with damaged ligaments. Even then, he still played well, didn't he? With this injury, obviously, a surgery is needed especially so that the 2009 NBA season is about to start. However, Kobe Bryant decided not to undergo surgery since it would take several days to heal.
Well that's his decision. But in my opinion, I guess he should agree with what the doctors advised him. This may not be a big problem for now but surely it will be in the next days or weeks or months or worst years to come. Hopefully not!

UAAP SEASON 71 CHAMPION
So far the final four of the UAAP Season 71 are Ateneo (thanks to the comment), De La Salle, Fareastern and the University of the East. Upon mentioning the team's name alone, it would be difficult to tell as early as this time as to which team will be the champion.
Below is the latest standing. It is my opinion that this will be the actual final four.
| ADMU | 12 | 1 | 0.923 |
| DLSU | 10 | 3 | 0.769 |
| FEU | 10 | 4 | 0.714 |
| UE | 9 | 5 | 0.642 |

2009 NBA OPENING
It will then be the start of the queries as to which team will be the 2009 NBA CHAMPION. Will it be the Boston Celtics again? Or will there be a new team to grab that trophy? The answer to this question is yet to be come. But surely, even if this early news and updates upon NBA continues especially the players.
Since this is NBA, me and my brother will have a bet. And my bet for this 2009 NBA Season is either the Lakers or the Spurs.

2008 US OPEN FINAL RESULTS
I saw the game of Federer against Muller. It was a tough game. Yet Roger Federer managed to win the game. It was the first time though that I've seen Federer showing some emotions to the game. May be he was irritated with the linesmen's decision but then he bring back his calmness until the end of the game which is what I like most about Roger Federer. So he did won the game and is waiting as to who will be his next opponent.
As per the women's game I have not seen the game of the William sisters but I read that Serena Williams won the game.

PACQUIAO FOR CONGRESSMAN
Despite this confirmation though, Pacquiao announced that his mind is not yet focused in the 2010 Philippine election but his upcoming fight against Oscar De La Hoya. He says that he wants to concentrate in this fight since this will be the biggest fight he will have.
He ends his interview saying that he would do his best to defeat De La Hoya. Personally, although I have doubts to Pacquiao's success in the Pacquiao-De La Hoya fight (which I apologize as a citizen from the Philippines), I am still hoping that he will because it is only in this sport that the Philippines is known and I could not imagine what will happen if Pacquiao will lose.
