KOBE BRYANT AT THE OLYMPICS
Of course one of the sports icon there and doing some of the spectacle actions is Kobe Bryant. I do believe Kobe Byrant is a matured player now. For sure the 2009 NBA Season will change its pace. With this attitude of Kobe Bryant in playing basketball applying it to his team in the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers and with Pau Gasol assisting him, they will be the 2009 NBA Champion. If they almost did last year, why couldnt they do better this year?
As a fan of Kobe Bryant, I am surely proud of him.

DAY 1 OF THE 2008 US OPEN
Luckily I caught the game of Elena Dementieva. I like this girl even though she is a big threat to Maria Sharapova which I love the most. She recently won in the first round of the 2008 US OPEN against an inexperienced player Amanmuradova. But the latter played a nice game though almost defeating Elena Dementieva in the second set. However, commentators believed that Amanmuradova has that power which she mostly failed to exercise, not to mention the advantage of her height which is intimidating.
The first game though is all about Elena Dementieva. She won 6-4 to 7-5 in the first round. After grabbing the gold in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, here she is facing another challenge in the game of tennis.

WITNESSING THE BEIJING OLYMPICS CLOSING CEREMONY
After watching the Beijing Olympics Closing Ceremony, I think it was more than I expected. I was thinking that there will be something different in this event so much so after witnessing the opening ceremony. And it sure did, that is as far as I am concerned.
However, in another aspect, as an unprofessional athlete but surely a professional athlete by heart, I kinda feel the intensity and passion of it all as regards the athletes' experiences in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Of course you can see the faces of the successful athletes who grabbed some medals as well as the pain of defeat of the others. In the latter case, I guess, these athletes concerned should not lose hope. Some of them may still have the chance to prove that they can do more. This result is just the truth about sports. Sometimes you lose and sometimes you win. The important thing is you did your best and put your heart into it.
I still congratulate every athlete who joined the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
(As of this moment the Beijing 2008 Olympics Closing Ceremony is not yet finished. I just feel very sleepy that is why I need to post this topic. I am not sure if I can finish to watch on tv the ceremony.)

BEIJING OLYMPICS CLOSING CEREMONY
It is expected that 7,000 performers will participate in the Beijing Olympics Closing Ceremony. Similarly it will be directed by the same director who is Zhang Yimou who filmed the crouching tiger movie which was a successful movie.
The Beijing Olympics is something that is unforgettable not only towards the participants but also towards the expectators. It may be the end of this sport phenomena but definitely not the athletic motive of the athletes who will surely prepare for the next Olympics in London.

BEHIND WILLY WANG'S GOLD
In which case it is as if the Philippines did not acquired any gold for that matter. Nevertheless, its one thing that we should be proud of about this achievement of Willy Wang. This sport may not be an official category in this year's olympics, who knows it may become official in the succeeding olympics and by then Willy Wang will be better than ever and defend his title.
The Philippine sports authority must give emphasis in sports where Filipinos excel and not in those categories where we expect to excel.

WILLY WANG WINS GOLD
The Philippine hero for this Beijing Olympics is no other than Willy Wang. I saw his performance. It was definitely great which accompanied with gracefulness and precision. I am not familiar with the sport category that he joined. Actually it was the first time that I heard about it. Willy Wang grab the gold for the wushu tournament. And what is this wushu tournament? Wushu Tournament is an international martial arts competition. China began to promote wushu in 1982, and held the first International Wushu Invitational Tournament in 1985 in Xi'an, northwestern China's Shaanxi Province.
That is all I've searched so far. The thing is this is not about the sport. Its more about Willy Wang winning the gold for the Philippines. Congratulations!

REBEKKA HAMMON JOINED RUSSIA?
Well that was what happened. And we could not go back and change the incident. Russia women's basketball team in the Olympics is doing very well. Yesterday before their game against USA, they only have one (1) loss. But still USA womens basketball team is forwarding to reach another gold medal in this year's olympics.
As to Rebekka Hammon's controversy, is just a controversy, period.

BEIJING OLYMPICS ENDING
I wonder if there will be a closing ceremony for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. And if there will be I wonder if it will be as glamorous as the opening. I read in one article saying that this year's olympics ending with definitely boost the country's economy. It added that expect, as China comes back on line, copper, iron, oil and other commodities to feel increasing demand. Whew I can already feel the end of the olympics and missing all the athletes who became famous.
Check the latest medal tally.

BEIJING OLYMPICS FINAL RESULT
So, which country will earn the biggest number of medals. As of the moment, it is between USA and CHINA. There is still chances for other countries since there are a lot of sports yet to play. Sports competition is just like a tire that rolls and rolls not knowing which will be at the top until the game ends.
Whichever country will win the olympics will serve as an inspiration to other countries to do more and reach for that gold in the next olympics to come.

AMANDA BEARD NUDE PHOTO
Amanda Beard is known as a gold medalist in swimming. She started at a very young age and became the world champion and record holder in the 200-meter breaststroke. Similar to other professional athletes, she reached this stage with hard work, endless efforts, tears and perseverance.
With the advent of the Olympics, which will be starting tomorrow, this Olympian could not help but be in the lime light not because of her participation in the Olympics but because of her nude photo. Amanda Beard loves animals which is simply the reason why she accepted this nude photo in support of an anti-fur campaign. She believes that this is for a cause.
You can check the photo HERE.
