Now that there are only two teams left, which team will take home the 2008 NBA Championship Title? It’s either the Lakers or the Celtics. Hmmm, interesting! It’s like we were brought back to the old days. These two teams have proven their worth in this season. Other teams may have done the same however there could only be one team which will be tagged as the 2008 champion.

So that with only seven games remaining, its time for your voice to be heard. Verily you have your own bet for the title. Have you observed that most of my posts are about basketball? Well, that is because it is the famous game in our country. We love to watch NBA even though the players are foreign to us. We patronize our own basketball association and even more we have hopes for our college basketball players. Basketball is indeed the game in town.

Schooldays are coming. With this it’s the beginning of UAAP-Men’s Basketball. La Salle won in the previous season. It’s so exciting to learn who will win in this season. Will La Salle defend their title or will there be another team who will top them all? Every school is ready to support their team. Every team is preparing for the game. Every fan is ready to watch the action.

It may be the end of NBA, but UAAP is here to quench your thirst for more basketball games!

I have grown to love sports, so I kept saying. If only I can play it all, I will. But then we all know that would be difficult although not improbable. I know of some persons especially women who know nothing about a particular sport. They may be familiar of the terms but they don’t know how to play the same. Sports have been a part of our lives for so long. To those who have conceptualized each sport, I salute you! You have created a new side of the world.

One thing that I love about sports is the fact that I meet new friends. I socialize with different people with certainly distinct personalities. With this, it diminished my being a shy person; although it takes time to actually start a conversation with every person I play with. Another thing is playing a particular sport develops my self-confidence. This may sound so elementary but it’s true. Playing a certain sport allows you to be who you are and make quick decisions which you alone would be blaming with thereafter. In making such decisions, you either lose or win the game. Either way you ponder on what happened. Through it you realize things you never thought you would. You now value the essence of winning. You learn to play with dignity. On another point of view, losing hurts but its how you play the game. No matter how good you are and how many trophies or awards you acquired, losing will never be absent. It is part of the game. How you accept failures makes you a better and stronger person. On the other hand, sport is said to be interesting because of its uniqueness. Every single sport is unique in each way. There are several strategies you need to learn to win. There are times when it widens your ideas on applying a new technique in order to win. Playing a certain sport helps you to be creative. Aside from the medical benefits you receive from playing, you get a chance to be with your family and spend quality time with them that is if you play the same sport. Even then you can have this quality time regardless of the fact that not all of your family members play the game. All you have to do is accompany them while their playing. There are a lot of things that you can benefit when playing a certain kind of sport. There are too many that it would take me several pages to post it all.

Anyway, the thing is, it cannot be denied that we benefit from playing any other kind of sport. There have been proofs to this fact. What is important is you enjoy each time you play the game. Its just a matter of what you think is good for you, your body, your family and any other person close to your heart. Let’s enjoy life by being a sport-lover!
